What cities are included in your service area?
We provide dog walks and pet sitting in Saint Paul, Longfellow neighborhood in Minneapolis, Roseville, Woodbury, Maplewood, South St Paul and Mendota Heights. During off-leash walks we visit Battle Creek, High Bridge, Arlington Arkwright, Minnehaha, Kaposia Landing, and Woodview dog parks.
Do you watch all kinds of animals?
Yes, we love all animals. Besides dogs and cats we have cared for birds, hamsters, fish, seahorses, and chinchillas. We will never say no to any pet before meeting it.
Can you give medications? Shots?
Yes we can administer oral medications and injections with a little training on your methods. There is no extra charge for routine medication administration. Contact us if your pet requires something out of the ordinary.
My dog has bad behaviors will you still care for her?
There is no breed specific exclusions here at Twin Cities Pets. We understand each pet is different and accept each based on individual behavior. We will evaluate each dog and come up with an appropriate walking plan to address any concerns you might have. We reserve the right to refuse service if we decide that is the correct plan of action.
My dog is afraid of men, could I get a woman caregiver?
We will do all we can to match your caregiver to your preferences. With the details you give us about your pets we will use our experiences to match them with the correct caregiver. All of our sitters are caring and compassionate so we are confident your pet will be well taken care of.
I have lots of pets, will there be an extra charge?
Our pet sitting services and individual walking services include up to 2 cats and 2 dogs. Dog park rates include one dog. Any pets above those limits will incur a $5 extra pet fee.
Can you watch my cat on Christmas?
Yes, we do offer sitting and walking services on major holidays. There is a $5/visit holiday fee for all major holidays to reimburse our sitters for being away for their families. The major holidays included are: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Can you stop by with short notice?
Sometimes. If you are a current customer and you need us to come by on short notice, call or email us. If you are a new customer we need at least a week before we start service to make sure we have the time and information we need for provide the best care for your pet.
Do you board pets at your house?
No, currently we do not board or kennel any pets. All care will take place at your home. We are a great option for pets that do not like to be boarded.
What do you accept for payment?
We accept checks, electronic checks and credit cards. Contact us for more information on payment methods at [email protected]
Will you shovel my driveway if it snows?
No, we are there to care for the pets. We will shovel a small area if your pet requires it for outside breaks, but due to the tremendous amount of snow we receive in Minnesota, we can not shovel the sidewalk or driveway. During the winter please arrange for your shoveling to be done if it snows while you are away.
What makes you green?
We do all we can to reduce our impact on the earth while we care for your pets. We use paperless forms and billing to reduce our paper usage, and the office products we do use are recycled. We use all natural, grain-free treats and biodegradable poop bags. The cleaning products we use are all natural and non-toxic. We walk, bike, and use a hybrid vehicle to get to visits whenever we can. Make sure to let us know where your recycling is and we will make sure to recycle while in your home too.
What does your insurance cover?
We are fully insured and bonded so you can have piece of mind. Our insurance covers accidents that happen as a result of a sitter's actions. It covers injury or death of a pet, damage to your home, loss of property, and rekeying of your home in the event of a lost key.
What if I need to cancel?
Please, always let us know as soon as you can. Notification of less than 24 hours can incur a charge for a 15 minute walk or $15.50.
